History:
Annuity Professionals, Inc. was established in 1993 by Robert Pugmire, former President and CEO of Northern Life Insurance Company in Seattle, Washington. As President of Northern Life for 20 years, Robert successfully guided the company to be one of the largest, and most aggressive providers of 403b TSA products in the nation.
Now under the direction of his son, Timothy Pugmire, API has grown to be one of the largest national marketing companies, providing annuities and life products to independent agents and brokers across the U.S. Though API has become one of the leading providers of annuity & life insurance, we haven't forgotten what helped us get there, and that is SERVICE.

While at the helm of Northern Life, Robert guided the company to establish itself as the premier AGENT'S COMPANY. They understood what it meant when they said, 'THE AGENT IS OUR CUSTOMER'. It takes more than words, products and promises; it takes commitment and performance. At API, we have continued that feeling and commitment to make sure that our agents know that they are the most important resource in our company.
With all of the national marketing companies promoting their products through direct mail, trade publications, faxes, seminars, etc., it's hard for an agent to know with which company is best to contract. After all of the marketing dust has settled, we trust that API will always be standing there waiting to help our agents with the most important part of our job, that is assisting them in identifying, selling, and servicing these annuity products to their clients.
Research:
Finding the right products for your clients' needs can be an extremely frustrating experience, not to mention a time consuming venture. At API, we understand that you make your living by spending time in front of your clients with products designed for their individual needs, rather than wasting your time researching each of the products.
As part of our commitment to our agents, API has developed strong relationships with numerous carriers, so that we may offer our agents top contracts, with top carriers, to sell top products. We continually search and evaluate the market to identify any new trends in products and usage. At API, we strive to keep our agents up-to-date on new products in the market so that you may offer nothing short of the best to your clients. However, just because another product shows up in the field, doesn't mean you have to offer it. It may or may not fit your clients needs. But, you at least ought to know about it, to feel more confident that what you are selling is still the best product available. This piece of mind is priceless!
